Welcome to our recap of music and Word from Sunday, March 15, 2015. We have been working through a series of sermons called "Forty Days to the Cross," where we look at the last few weeks of Jesus' life before he fulfilled his earthly mission. Below you will find some of the elements of our service, including links to some of the music and the sermon.
WORSHIP THROUGH SONG
Song: Come As You Are- Crowder
Song: Arise My Soul Arise- Indelible Grace
Song: Rejoice- Dustin Kensrue
Song: Hallelujah for the Cross- Ross King
Reading based on Psalm 130
Out of the depths we cry to you, O Lord.
Lord, hear our voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to our cries for mercy!
If you, Lord , kept a record of sins,
who could stand?
But there is forgiveness with you,
so that you may be revered.
We wait for the Lord, our souls wait,
and in his word we hope;
our souls wait for the Lord
more than those who watch for the morning,
more than those who watch for the morning.
O Church, hope in the Lord!
For with the Lord there is steadfast love,
and with him is great power to redeem.
It is he who has redeemed the church from all its sins.
This is the Word of God for the people of God.
Thanks be to God.
Song: Waiting Here For You- Passion
WORSHIP THROUGH WORD
Neil, our Lead Pastor, preached from Luke 21:25-38, about the need for Christians to watch ourselves, stay awake, and pray. You can find it on our church podcast.
Song: Restore My Soul
When you are so disappointed with yourself, you just want to go away, your God says come. When you're frustrated, you've given into the same sin again, and you want to just crawl in the bed and hide, your God says come. Depart now and live in the presence of your God who cannot have His mind changed about you. In the name of the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit, Amen. Bless you. You are dismissed.
