These past few Sunday mornings have looked a bit different in the Warehouse than how we usually run things. We have been going through the book of Acts and came across this verse,
"And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness." (Acts 4:31)
Seeing God on the move in the early church has stirred up a sense of anticipation in the student ministry. Confronted with these acts, we cannot help ourselves but want to see the kingdom explode here in our worlds. Taking a step back and looking at the root of all the holy movement, we have seen a common trend of God's people bending their knees to pray. In order for us to make an impact on our community and schools we have to be an impacted, knee-bending people ourselves.
... and when they had prayed that place was shaken... Wherever that place is I want to be there! But it began first with prayer. So we have taken a 31 day prayer initiative called The 431 Project to challenge students to pray. And they have responded. For the past 12 days I've heard stories of students including and inviting others to pray with them for their schools and communities. It can be a dangerous thing when the people of God seek Him out in true, utter dependence. Who knows what He could do?! I'm praying for that place in students' lives to be shaken and God would do a work within and also without.
I write to you to ask, would you join us? Would you be willing to take the next couple of weeks and intentionally pray with and for our students? I have attached below the 31 day prayer list. Each day is labeled with what to pray for as well as what scripture to refer to. This would be a great in and opportunity for you to pray with your student. I hope you jump in..
