Holy Week Services...you're invited!

Maundy thursday | 7pm • Good Friday | 7pm

Easter sunday | 7, 8:30, 10 & 11:30am

People I love,

Often times we hear a lot about Palm Sunday and then it's radio silence until Easter Sunday. However, a lot happened between those two Sundays. For example, on Monday of Holy Week Jesus' growing sense that something was coming informed his choices, so he woke up and went back into Jerusalem where he continued His holy dissatisfaction with the status quo.

He began by accusing His people of stinginess, small thinking and inconsequential faith. Because religious folk look for offense instead of opportunity they rarely focus on the content, so they questioned his credentials. Said differently, they wanted to know by what authority He was saying these things. People who live for permission rarely understand authority.

Something is coming and Jesus can feel it in His bones so he begins to focus on what matters, the things He wants His people to know. It's as if there aren't enough hours in the day for Him to get it all out. Because the nature of last conversations dictate that you say what you most want people to remember, it would be a good idea for us to read passages like Matthew 21:12–22, Mark 11:12–19 and Luke 19:45–48.

Something is coming,
— Neil
