We LOVE KIDS because GOD LOVES KIDS!
We strive to provide a place that is safe and fun for kids to learn about God and experience His love. We want them to love God, love others and live for His Kingdom! Our desire and prayer for each child is that they understand God's Word, have a personal growing relationship with Him and choose to live His way.
SUNDAYS FOR KIDS
KidConnect is our Sunday morning Bible Community for kids and includes Large Group/Small Group teaching environments. We meet at 9:15am in the Fellowship Hall and Room 108 at 11am. This is the place where kids can connect with others as they are assigned to teams with kids in their same grade. Kids connect to the God through praise, prayer, Bible stories and memory passages. Each team is led by an adult Shepherd who challenges kids to live the Truth they are learning.
Beginning Sunday, August 22 we begin a new study called "I STAND IN AWE", a year-long look at the importance of the Bible and its message. Click here for more information about KidConnect lessons.
M&M: MUSIC AND MISSIONS
During the school year, we offer two semesters of mid-week classes on Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 8:00pm, in coordination with Adult Bible Studies. M&M is where kids take part in music - where they are being taught an understanding and appreciation of worship. We also share with children about different missionaries and ministries that take place all around the world and challenge them to be a part of what God is doing to make His name known. It is an incredible time of discipleship for every child.
M&M is for children age 3 (by 9/1/10) - 4th grade.
We have finished our spring semester. M&M will begin again on September 8, 2010.
KIDS IN MINISTRY
We challenge children to honor god by serving others in meaningful ways. Our kids take an active part in our church's mission work - both locally and globally. Your family is invited to be a part of ministry to the elderly through a church service that we host each Sunday at a local nursing home. Each Sunday from 1:30 - 2:30pm, a team from GPBC leads a service for the staff and residents at Sugar Land Health Care Center (located at 333 Matlage Way). Our children have the privilege of leading that service once a quarter - on the 5th Sunday months. During that time we help residents from their room to the meeting area, talk with them, pray with them and take part in the hymn singing with them. It is truly a remarkable time for all involved! All ages are welcome and we'd love to have your family join us for one of these special days. Our next opportunity for the Children's Ministry to lead will be on Sunday, October 31.
