Men this is a time of teaching that is biblical, applicable and in a language we can understand.
In First Timothy 4:16 Paul tells Timothy, "Keep a close watch on your life and doctrine. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers." It's easy to read that and focus on big words like "life and doctrine" and miss simple things like "persist in this." As men, it's easy for us to fall into the trap of running a lot of fifty yard dashes while life is a marathon not a sprint. After a while we are tempted to give up on ourselves and become jaded, cynical men who start more things than we finish and try to find enjoyment in a life we don't find enjoyable.
At each breakfast Neil McClendon will unpack a portion of the text, give some application to daily life and then we will digest a few practical questions around the tables and finish by praying for each other before we head out to work.
