Biblical Mandate for Missions at Grand Parkway

God desires people from every tribe and nation to know Him, glorify and worship Him (Revelation 7:9-12). It has been His plan from the beginning that His people be actively involved in reaching the nations (Genesis 12:1-4). Before the very foundation of the world(Ephesians 2:9-10), God intended for us as believers, individually and His Church, corporately, to go to every tribe and nation, both near and far (Acts 1:8), to make disciples, baptize them, and teach them to observe all that Jesus commanded  (Matthew 28:18-20) .

Biblical Focus of Missions at Grand Parkway

In some of His last words on earth, Jesus spoke to His followers about a very specific plan for them after He ascended back to Heaven. In Acts 1:8 He told them, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth." Based on this passage, we understand our calling in missions to be focused on local missions, state and national missions and international missions.
