"Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world." James 1:27

There are aspects of God's "will" for our lives which are simple to discern. It is God's desire that we visit orphans. It's that simple. He knows there is something powerful and life-changing about a visit to an orphan.

After ministering for two years at an orphanage in Lopukhinka, Russia, our church began a partnership with Orphan Outreach in order to strengthen our ministry there. The orphanage is located a couple of hours outside St. Petersburg and is home to about 70 children, ages 7-18, all of whom need a tangible reminder that God sees them, remembers each one and has given them all a future and a hope. We have had the privilege of visiting them three times and hope to continue our relationship with these orphans and the community around them.
