I am a Christian, husband, father and pastor who enjoys coffee, reading, solitude, authentic people, good food, golf, friends, the music of Johnny Cash and the loyalty of a fine dog. My passion is to live the Gospel, preach the Gospel and incarnate the Gospel to the glory of God. I occasionally overeat, talk too much and forget to use my blinker. I’m not a very good wizard, but I am a pretty good man. I love the Church and believe that she is the hope of the world and, as such, deserves whatever sacrifices are necessary to provide, protect and prepare her for His coming. I am humbled and blessed that I get to be a part of this place.
Spiritual Formation & missions Pastor
I have been married for over 40 years to Debbie, who is a godly, servant-hearted lady. I am the dad to Melissa and Kimberly, both outstanding young ladies and growing Christians. I am a graduate of Auburn University and Southwestern Seminary. I enjoy reading, movies, good seafood, an occasional round of golf and watching most every sport, but most of all anything that has to do with Auburn sports. War Eagle!!! I am excited to be at Grand Parkway with you as we seek to become all of what God has called each of us to be. May the transformation of our lives make us more and more like Him everyday.
If you walk into my office, you will find musical instruments, lots of books, a picture of John Wayne and something to do with Coca-Cola. I attended Indiana University for my Bachelor of Music Education (Go Hoosiers!) and graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I am a fan of Julia Child, Theodore Roosevelt, Billy Joel and the Beatles. My favorite books include biographies (John Adams and The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt), anything by Jonathan Edwards, and the Harry Potter series. My musical taste ranges from Bach to blues-rock to classic country. I am married to Nicole, and we have two daughters, Evie Kate and Mabel Grace. I love getting to lead the generous people at Grand Parkway to worship a great God.
I am husband to my beautiful wife, Robin, and father to four highly active girls. I am a graduate of East Texas Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I enjoy great coffee, early mornings, 80’s rock, challenging books, action movies, good pizza, playing golf, practical jokes and spending time with my family and friends. My passion is to see the body of Christ fully engaged in community, growing in love for God and one another, and being encouraged to take next steps of faith. I am thankful and excited to be part of what God is doing in and through Grand Parkway.
I don’t own a pair of skinny jeans. I drink too much coffee (if there is such a thing). I am a cheesecake aficionado, football enthusiast, and occasionally an avid runner. I sing 80's rock ballads like a champ in my car. I know all of the lyrics to every early 90's country song. And I never cried when they played “Friends are Friends Forever…” on the last night of camp (OK, maybe I shed a tear or two). On a more serious note, I want to see students unleashed to change the world, and I want to help parents disciple their teenagers. I have been investing in the lives of students, parents, and leaders for over 10 years in a variety of roles. I was born in Texas but grew up all over the southeast as the son of a pastor. In 2006 I returned to Texas to attend seminary in Fort Worth. My wife, Katelyn, and have two kids, and we love serving the students and families at Grand Parkway.
I am a follower of Jesus and find great peace and contentment in knowing that I get to live in a Story that is way bigger than my own. Another exciting part of the journey is being married to my husband, Neil, and being the mom to our two daughters, Madison and Sophie. It is my passion to help equip the body of Christ and to see people set free to find their deep joy in obeying God. There is nothing like getting to see the light come on, the chains fall off, and purpose grow. In life, the little things are the best...hot cups of tea, walks with my husband, craving cereal and then finding it in my pantry and enough milk in the fridge, late night talks with my daughters, time with good friends and fireflies.
I have been a member of Grand Parkway Baptist Church since 2001. My husband, Brian, and I are college sweethearts and attended East Texas Baptist University, where I earned my elementary teaching degree. I also have a Masters of Education in Administration from Sam Houston State University. We have two amazing kids, Clara and Caleb, and enjoy traveling. When I am not busy planning crazy activities for Kids' Night Out, I enjoy playing games, making crafty things, reading and taking naps. My desire for the children at GPBC is to introduce them to the big God of the Bible, who loves each of them and is at work writing their story.
I am a native to Houston and married to John Hood. We have three children–Kaytlin, Ashlee and Bryan. I love coffee, hanging out with friends, watching movies and spending time camping with my family. I have a degree in Christian Leadership and a passion for children learning God's Word. My desire for the preschool children at Grand Parkway is that they would have exposure at a young age to the absolutes of God's character.
Howdy and Gig 'em! I am Shelley David. I am happily married to my wonderful husband, Richard. We have two adult children, Katie and Andrew, who have also chosen to live in the Houston area. I have a stepson, Eric, who is married and lives in the Dallas area. I love the Lord and sharing His good news with others. My background includes law enforcement and teaching. I love children! If I am not spending time with family and friends, I enjoy spending time outdoors, eating Mexican food, listening to music and trying new flavors of tea. My passion for the children here at GPBC is that they fall in love with Jesus.
Children's Administrative Assistant
My boyfriend, Suhail, and I have been members of Grand Parkway Baptist Church since 2014. Together we have an amazing 4-year-old son, Dean, who you will see following me around sometimes because he loves to help! I currently attend the University of Houston, where I am studying to be an accountant. We love to find cool new things to do and experience in the Houston area. Most of my family is from Louisiana, so we sneak off there every chance we get! I have a passion and a desire for children to know and to love God, and I get to do that by preparing for Sundays each week.

I'm a Pensacola native. My husband, Brandon, and I moved to Sugar Land and began attending Grand Parkway in 2013. Since then God has redeemed my life and restored my faith. In October of 2017, God blessed us with our first child—a son named Camden. I got my love for singing harmonies by listening to my mom's alto choir cassette tapes and hearing the band Alabama being played continuously throughout my childhood! I am passionate about leading others to the heart of God through intimate worship. I'm incredibly thankful for God's infinite grace and for loving me "just as I am; a child of God."
I am a recovering perfectionist and people-pleaser who loves Jesus, my husband, my two kids, and my crazy dogs. I enjoy music, chocolate, coffee, gardening and Sudoku puzzles. I have served in student ministry most of my adult life, and it brings me great joy to have the opportunity to encourage others to read the Bible and get to know the God who wrote it.
I grew up in Mississippi but have enjoyed living in Texas for most of my adult life. I love doing things with my family, which includes my husband, Wade, and son, Alex. I enjoy expressing myself in creative ways—through photography, graphic design, music, reading, baking and gardening. God has done beautiful things in my life and marriage, and I am eternally grateful. One of my favorite Bible verses from Jeremiah 29 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” To me this is an incredible reminder of God’s love and the hope we can have in Him. I love being a part of the body of Christ that is Grand Parkway, and I can’t wait to see what God has planned for our future.
