Women's Outreach

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works
and give glory to your Father in heaven.”
— Matthew 5:16

SHINE. SIMPLE PROJECTS; BIG GOD.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to intentionally look beyond ourselves. Not only does that free us from joy-sucking selfishness, it also puts us smack dab in the middle of a Kingdom-sized life that requires explanation. As a church, we are constantly looking for ways to “Shine” our light in simple ways in order to bless our community.

Whether it’s providing snacks for teachers, pulling weeds for widows or taking ice-cold watermelon to a high school football practice, we want to be a blessing. These opportunities usually pop up pretty spontaneously, so check back often to see the next chance to Shine!

JOIN THE TEAM

BE A BLESSING TO A SCHOOL THAT HAS A GREAT NEED FOR ADULT VOLUNTEERS!

Join the men and women who serve at our local elementary school partners. There are many ways to bless children and teachers, with opportunities to read in a classroom, help teachers with simple projects, be a chaperone, volunteer in the garden and much more!

The first step is to fill out a Fort Bend school district volunteer background check. Then, download the volunteer form for Oyster Creek Elementary (one of our local elementary partners). Please print that form, fill it out and place it in one of the offering boxes on Sunday. Once your application is approved, a representative from the school will be in contact with you to help get you started!

If you are a quilter, knitter, crocheter or seamstress, you are invited to join this special group.

Hands to Bless has ongoing projects that provide handmade items to several of our missionary partners all over the world. They also meet from time to time because it’s fun to work together.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
